The latest addition to the World of Dance tour, The Celebrity Meet and Greet at World of Dance, is an exciting opportunity for well-known and celebrated professional dancers in the urban dance industry to interact and interface one-on-one with their fans while also giving back to local urban dance education programs.

This event brings the urban dance community together, from community-minded and accomplished artists to dancers and fans. Everyone will come together for a positive cause to benefit, promote, and support the non-profit outreach arts education programs that Culture Shock LA provides.” -Michelle Castelo, Executive Director of Culture Shock LA.

Scheduled guests include: Jenny Kita (Harajuku dancer for Gwen Stefani, Madonna), members of Quest (Winner of America’s Best Dance Crew Season 3), Ryan Conferido, Dominic Sandoval and Hok Konishi (Finalists for So You Think You Can Dance and Members of Quest), Groovaloos (Winners of Superstars of Dance), Sara VonGillern (Finalist for So You Think You Can Dance), members of Sick Step (Finalist on America’s Got Talent), members of Beat Freaks (Finalist for America’s Best Dance Crew). More special guests to be confirmed.

Proceeds from “The Celebrity Meet and Greet at World of Dance” will help fund Culture Shock LA’s low and no-cost urban dance education programs. Hosted in seventeen school and community center sites during the past year, these workshops teach students the foundation of urban dance while educating them on the four elements of Hip-Hop, its cultural relevance, and its relation to other art forms. Through community outreach efforts, dance education programs, and professional performances, Culture Shock LA preserves the history of the Hip-Hop culture while focusing on the mission: “We are a troupe of individuals who, through the power of music and dance, cultivate self-worth, dignity, and respect for all people.”
